The Answer to "Why?"

Many years ago, when my son was quite young, everything was, “Why?”.  I attempted to answer, but each answer was followed by another, “Why?”.  Finally, I found the answer that seemed to satisfy his curiosity.

“Daddy, why?”

“Jeffrey, economics.”
